SyntheZyme is developing yeast strains
for conversion of natural biobased lipids to industrial
monomers and surfactants. Metabolic pathway and protein
engineering allow the targeting of chosen feedstocks and
end products. Fermentation and downstream processing
tailored to these proprietary yeast strains enables high
productivity and end-product purity.
In addition to
whole cell processes, SyntheZyme combines its expertise in
enzyme structure-activity relationships with immobilization
technology to stabilize and activate enzymes on supports.
These immobilized enzymes provide safe and sustainable
biocatalytic processes for production of biobased monomers,
prepolymers and surfactants.
